Armed Robbery at Jewelry Store in Mexico City

Two men have been arrested after robbing a jewelry store in the Parque Delta shopping mall in Mexico City. They threatened the manager with a replica firearm and fled with stolen goods valued over 1 million pesos, but were apprehended by police shortly after.

In a jewelry store in the Parque Delta shopping plaza, located in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City, two men were arrested after committing a robbery. According to initial reports, the individuals entered the jewelry store and threatened the attendant with a replica firearm. They then stole the jewelry and placed it in a suitcase before fleeing on a motorcycle.

The authorities from the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat managed to recover the stolen pieces, which are estimated to be worth more than one million pesos. The Secretary of Security, Pablo Vázquez, mentioned that during the arrest of the two individuals, the replica firearm used in the robbery, as well as the motorcycle used for the escape, were seized.

The two individuals were placed at the disposal of the relevant authorities in the Mexico City Prosecutor's Office, where it is expected that the corresponding law will be applied and there will be no impunity in this case.
